Lisa Bleskie - Daycare Co-ordinator, Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Infant Toddler Educator & Special Needs Educator.

Picture
My name is Lisa Bleskie and I have been  the Coordinator of Tree Frog Daycare since March of 1999.

I grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and completed the Early Childhood Education program there, at Conestoga College, before moving to Salt Spring in 1993.  I am licensed as an  Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Infant Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator.

I have worked at Tree Frog since it opened in January 1994 and my time here has allowed me to work with children from infancy through school age.  Over the years I have seen “The Frog” go  through many changes and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this great little daycare in the woods that we have created.

Seeing  the joy of discovery & learning in children continues to keep my Tree Frog experience fresh. I love the way the world looks through the eyes of a child making a new discovery and their laughter is among my favourite sounds ever!!   As a caregiver it’s so rewarding to be a part of a child’s growth and development from the early days of rocking them to sleep through the excitement of kindergarten at “the big school!”

When I’m not at Tree Frog I enjoy spending my time near the ocean, reading a good book or being with the people I love.

I was born on Saltspring.  I completed my ECE training in 1998 at Malaspina University College, including my Special Needs and Infant Toddler training.
I have four children.  I have worked at TreeFrog Daycare on and off since 2000, taking time off in between to raise my babies.  When I am not spending time with your wonderful children at TreeFrog, I enjoy being with my children!
In the summer we like to spend as much time in our camper as we can, as well as going to explore new beaches in our boat.  In the winter, I like to wish for snow, and we travel north once a year to find it!

Jasmin Coffey- Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

I have been a part of the TreeFrog family in the past, and somewhat feel I never left!

Excited to start anew with families I know & families I will get to know well, and building a wonderful team to support you all.

Born and raised on Saltspring, the Island called me back a few years ago from a hiatus in the mountains, my passions are outdoor education, play inspired learning with a child led approach, sustainability, gardening, self expression, somatic healing, nutrition, herbalism, which I love to weave into my days with the children.

I truly believe the children are our teachers, we get to build on their interests and support their social-emotional needs.
I live in Fulford, so close to work, with my 16yr old daughter, two dogs, Luna and Ollie, & cat Sunset.

Anna Mila Klimes- Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
I am Anna Mila and I'm so happy to be returning to Tree Frog after so many years! This place holds such a special spot in my heart — I first worked here as part of my ECE practicum 14 years ago; my son Jonah was also a little Tree Frog back then.
I’m excited to bring my experience and passion for early childhood education to the community at Tree Frog. Over the last 20 years, I’ve worked with children in early childhood and primary education, both locally and internationally. I hold a degree in Education with certifications in Early Childhood and Primary Education, and have spent the last six years working in IB schools in China and Hungary. I specialize in the Reggio Emilia approach, and had the opportunity to serve as Atelierista at Nanjing International School, where I supported young learners' creative inquiry and expression.
My work is grounded in deep respect for the whole child — their emotions, their ideas, and where they are in their development. Alongside teaching, I’m also a wellness and parenting coach, specializing in meditation, nervous system regulation, breathwork, and yoga. Currently, I’m in the process of applying for a Master's in Psychology to further support the work I do with families and young children.
My family and I are finding our way on beautiful Salt Spring Island after living abroad for 20 years. During the week, my husband Ian and my son Jonah live off-island for school and work at Southpointe Academy, while my daughter, Piper and I live on Salt Spring. We all reunite on weekends and cherish our time together with our extended family here.
It’s such a joy to be back at Tree Frog — it truly feels like coming home.
